The Story
The Blarney Stone’s Evolution from Good to Great!
After nearly 25 years, the Blarney Stone has been reimagined, redesigned and reinvigorated into The Stone Tavern 1867 - with a wee bit o’ Blarney.
The inspiration for the new name comes from our loyal customers, Irish family heritage, and the exceptional quality of our food and spirits. Over the past 25 years our most loyal customers adorned us with the nickname “The Stone”. Our dedication to high quality food and spirits have earned us the “Tavern” status, and the Bayle family lineage came to the United States in “1867” from Donegal, Ireland.
The Stone Tavern 1867 is a charming combination of 150 year old reclaimed wood, stone, and mortar with accents of copper, cobblestone, mature landscape and décor of the old country – both historic Chester County and that of Donegal.
Our Chef and Kitchen Staff take pride in our house made menu items and cooking from scratch with quality ingredients from our local butcher. Enjoy our updated menu with your old favorites and new additions. We are also excited to introduce our hand - crafted Irish spirits. We have partnered with The Connacht Whiskey Company in County Mayo, Ireland. These hand bottled Irish spirits are distilled in copper pot stills in the former home of Duffy’s Bakery on the banks of the beautiful River Moy.
We hope you enjoy our warm and friendly atmosphere, dine on our naturally secluded deck by the fire pit or join us for an Eagles game. Whatever the occasion, bring your friends, or make some new ones and become a part of The Stone Tavern family. There will always be a wee bit o’ Blarney at The Stone.
Thank you for your patronage!
